VINO CAMINO - A Prince Albert Wine Experience

Nothing planned for the weekend of 16 and 17 August?  Do yourselves a favour and join us in Prince Albert for our very first Vino Camino.

A number of select wineries have been invited to exhibit their wines at various venues throughout the town.  Buy your tickets and take a stroll through Prince Albert, enjoying and savouring the different wines along the way.

Winemaker Craig Barnard from the boutique estate Eagle's Nest will be hosted by the Swartberg Hotel

Cellar Master Carl Schultz of Hartenberg wines will be hosted by Dennehof Karoo Guesthouse. Hartenberg has a rich history dating back to the late 1970's and specialises in Shiraz production.

Our very own Diederik le Grange of Fernskloof Wines will be at 20 Church Street.  Joseph le Grange pioneered commercial vine planting on a farm in the Prince Albert Valley as far back as 1820. Diederik launched the Fernskloof brand in 2010.

Winemaker JD Rossouw of Wildeberg wines has a familial legacy in winemaking.  Wildeberg is a member of Boutinot International, with vineyards in New Zealand, United Kingdom, France and Franschhoek.

Meyer Joubert of Joubert-Tradauw continues his grandfather's legacy from sixty-one years ago. Join them on a journey to taste the Karoo.  Find them at Harry's Bar, Watershed.

Johan Kruger of Kruger Family Wines boasts the Young South African Winemaker of the Year award in 2005, and he also received a 5-star rating from wine critic, John Platter. Johan will be hosted at Onserus Guesthouse.

Melissa Nelson of Genevieve MCC in Bot River began her journey into winemaking in 2008.  Genvieve MCC will exhibit at Harry's Bar, Watershed.

Luddite is a small family winery with Niels Verburg in charge of the cellar and Penny looking after the vineyards.  Alice, their daughter has also joined the winemaking team.  Luddite will be hosted at Yellow House Restaurant.

Head winemaker Pieter Carstens of Leeuwenkuil Family Vineyards will be hosted at Jeremy's Restaurant.  Come and meet him there and taste his exquisite wines.
