FAMILY VISIT

Vaughn and Chantal  visiting from the Berg House and Cottages in the Natal Drakensberg.

On the way to the Swartberg Pass

Klipspringer

The cutest koala nose.

Part of the wall on the pass.

More of the wall.

Looking down a valley and the road.

Beautiful skies.

I forgot to take a bottle opener for the Windhoeks, and who should stop next to us to enjoy the view?  The Windhoek reps themselves!!  They heard us talking about it and pulled out a Windhoek cap and multitool for Vaughn.  Really cool guys.  Thanks again to you both.  www.windhoekbeer.co.za

Us girls stuck to wine.

Just loved the heart in the sky.

I could see the plane clearer in my photo with the zoom than with the naked eye.

Gorgeous clouds.

There goes that plane.

Klipspringer silhouettes.

Beautiful colour of the sky.

And then another head appeared.

I had a very special visit from my big sister (or at least that's what I used to call her when we were little), Chantal and her hubby, Vaughn.  She turned 50 on the 27th of May and this was part of a trip they did to the Cape.  It was great to see them again after 4 long years.  Thanks for all the spoils Chan and Vaughn!  We did all the tourist things and had sundowners up the pass on Wednesday evening.  This trip certainly changed their perspective of the Karoo and they were most impressed that it was not the place they had always been told it was.  They were blown away by the greenery and the mountains.  I hope this means that they will be back again soon!
